Since its launch over a decade ago, our services such as Domain of One’s Own, Shared Hosting and WordPress Multisite have grown into an important part of the infrastructure students and faculty rely on at hundreds of schools.
This session will showcase some of the wonderful work that is shaping the web for the next generation.

Mark Corbett Wilson: Storymapping! And they used the free and open source Knight Labs software.
Stephen Downes: My only criticism of this format is that it's a competition - there's no need to select a 'winner' from this group
Mark Corbett Wilson: Oh Stepehen, you're such an anarchist. 😎
Stephen Downes: Knight Lab storymapping tools https://knightlab.northwestern.edu/projects/

Mark Corbett Wilson: I canna wait to try the Red Dragon theme on my eportfolio!
Ed Beck: Try editing the front page, and you'll see the patterns they created that will show up in the pattern directory
Ed Beck: and then, most of the work was done in creating those custom patterns.
Jason: Yeah, FSE is kinda scary when you're not used to it.

Jason: Pirate blogging! ;)
Stephen Downes: I've worked with the news site WP themes, they're not the easiest toi manage
Joe Murphy: Really impressive. Opens up an interesting way of talking about project sustainability with students.
cogdog blog: but FSE gets away from those superbloated premium themes that injected an entire OS like layer on a site and filled sites with shortcode blarg.
Mark Corbett Wilson: I'm sure the administrators will find a line in their budget to reward Rick for his 15 years of work! 😇
